I want to thank everyone for their help in fighting the battle to "Save Whiting".  Please don't stop registering, emailing and sending your post cards back until Friday, March 14!!!  The response has been overwhelming and I am humbled by the support from across the state.  In the past three days, I have received dozens of emails from people who are forwarding emails to all of their friends. I have had calls to rally the troops for a bus trip to Indianapolis to protect our great city.  I have had dozens of emails from WHS graduates and former Whiting residents offering to help in any way they can.  This community and the people of this community never cease to amaze and I'm confident that our combined effort will be successful.  Thank you and keep up the good work!

03/07/2008 | HB 1001 is in now in the legislative conference committee which is composed of Representative Bill Crawford (Indianapolis), Representative Jeff Espich (Uniondale), Senator Luke Kenley (Noblesville) and Senator Tim Skinner (Terre Haute). Mayor Stahura is frequently meeting with legislative leaders as is Representative Mara Candelaria Reardon to help protect the vital public services residents of Whiting need and deserve.
